Greetings Sorors and Visitors,On behalf of the members of Tau Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I would like to welcome you to our website. This award winning chapter is 60 members strong and is located in Redford, Michigan
We have answered the call to embrace and implement activities that focus on the programmatic thrust of our sorority’s Extraordinary Service Program (ESP) platforms:
- Platform I - Non-Traditional Entrepreneur: Women’s Business Expo, Dream, Believe Think and Do: An Entrepreneur’s Baseline; Business Planning for Entrepreneurs; Soror Side-Hustle.
- Platform II - The Economic Keys to Success: Youth Financial Literacy Workshop; Knowing Your Finances: A Young Adult Focus; Knowing Your Financial Roots: Why You Do What You Do.
- Platform III - The Economic Growth of the Black Family: Black Male Business Clothing Drive; Adopt- a- Family Initiatives; Senior Game Day.
- Platform IV – The Undergraduate Signature Program: Applies to Undergraduate Chapters
- Platform V - Health Resource Management and Economics: Suicide Prevention Seminars in collaboration with the Wayne County Community Mental Health Agency; Partnerships with American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen Foundation and American Heart Association.
